This workshop provides a brief introduction to the IELTS Exam. Participants will be given information about the format and timing of the test. As well, the four main skill areas: Reading, Writing, Listening and Speaking will be discussed. This workshop will be presented in English.

What is IELTS?
The International English Language Testing System (IELTS) is designed to help you work, study or migrate to a country where English is the native language. This includes countries such as Australia, Canada, New Zealand, the UK and USA.
Your ability to listen, read, write and speak in English will be assessed during the test. IELTS is graded on a scale of 1-9.
IELTS is jointly owned by the British Council, IDP: IELTS Australia and Cambridge Assessment English.

The Language Center at the Doha Institute for Graduate Studies
implements the Institute’s language mission, which recognizes Arabic as the primary language of instruction and regards English as a companion language in learning and scholarship. In addition, the Center contributes to establishing and enhancing links between the DI and international institutes of higher education and research.
